LOG HOME MARKET

The log home market is a growing and changing phenomenon. An increasing number of log homes are built each year, and more are being built as a primary residence. Whether it's a second home or a first home, more and more people are thinking log home. Some log homes have even been constructed within 15 minutes of Manhattan.

Just peruse the pages of this website, and you'll learn why. One thing you may notice: These are NOT the "little log cabins" of the distant past. Many are log home showplaces, some even built with bar-coded logs!

MODEL LOG HOMES VERSUS CUSTOM LOG HOMES. IN AN ERA WHEN THE CUSTOMER SHOULD GET EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT, MODEL HOMES
MEAN VERY LITTLE!

Between the three log home suppliers we represent, we offer roughly 700 different models from which you can choose! Plus, if 700 is not enough, that's no problem because over 75% of log homes are custom homes.

Generally speaking, customers are welcome: (1) to "tweak" model homes, (2) to request a quote from one of Legacy's suppliers on another of our supplier's model, OR (3) to begin with an entirely separate floor plan
from an ordinary
brick home plan book. Some customers even submit rough plans
that they sketched
on the back of
notebook paper.

Skilled Log Home Assembly & Construction
Is Of Utmost Importance.

Some log home Reps just sell log home packages and then promptly disappear. This "love 'em and leave 'em" approach just leaves customers confused and disturbed.

At Legacy Log Homes, LLC, we will insure the arrival of an established log home assembler at your home site on the day the log package arrives. In most cases, we will also be there when your logs arrive, and we'll always confirm the arrival of your assembler as scheduled. Furthermore, the assemblers we know are experienced professionals who can assemble and build out both small cabins and 10,000 sq. foot log home showplaces. If you'd like a separate general contractor to oversee your entire construction project, you are free to choose one, but know that the log home specialists we know have built a multitude of log homes over the past 15 years. As always, however, this choice is yours.

Legacy, LLC will not pull a disappearing act. Legacy, LLC will work like a sled dog with you, your chosen log home assembler or general contractor, with our favorite log home mortgage lenders, our low cost transport company, and with our three suppliers to make the log home of your dreams come true. Legacy, LLC has already been around for 6 years, thru thick and thin, and it's is in this business for the long run.

Would you like to assemble your own log perimeter walls?

We do not recommend this. There are SERIOUS RISKS associated with this option, and you should speak with us before you choose it. If, however, you are an experienced log home assembler with time on your hands, you could possibly handle your own assembly and thus maximize the savings associated with a log home.
Log home packages generally come with a set of building plans and with assembly instructions for the log perimeter walls.

The choice is yours, but we recommend a skilled, experienced assembler for at least your perimeter wall construction, your basic electrical work, and the setting of your windows and doors.

Log-only packages typically include:

Specialized Countersinking Log Bolts,

Log Seal,

Weather Stripping,

The highest quality exterior stain.

Generally speaking, log-only packages include the logs plus the items (other than tools) that are required to assemble them.
