Welcome to the Legacy Log Homes, LLC website. I am H. R. Ellis II, owner of Legacy Log Homes, LLC, an authorized dealer/representative for three of the most respected log home companies in America: Ward Cedar Log Homes ("Ward"), Yellowstone Log Homes ("Yellowstone") , LLC, and Lincoln Logs International, LLC ("Lincoln"). Legacy is located in Clanton, Alabama, near Lay Lake and Lake Mitchell, but we can arrange shipment of log home packages anywhere in the United States. The log home market is a growing and changing phenomenon. An increasing number of log homes are built each year, and more are being built as a primary residence. Whether it's a second home or a first home, more and more people are thinking log home. Some log homes have even been constructed within 15 minutes of Manhattan. Just peruse the pages of this website, and you'll learn why. MODEL LOG HOMES VERSUS CUSTOM LOG HOMES. IN AN ERA WHEN THE CUSTOMER SHOULD GET EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT, MODEL HOMES MEAN ALMOST NOTHING! Owner, Legacy Log Homes, LLC (334) 549-3408
The fact that I'm an independent dealer or representative allows me to offer my own special Discounts on log home packages from all three suppliers. I offer military discounts, volume discounts, and discounts for charities, churchs, and mission groups/camps. For churchs and mission groups, I offer Lincoln brand log home packages at DEALER COST.
1. Ward produces log packages made with gorgeous northeren white cedar, a premium wood for premium homes. Ward is the nation's first log home company and just may be the best company with the best logs and the best assembly system!
2. Yellowstone specializes in beautiful 9 to 16 inch logs hewn from fir and spruce trees grown in the western U.S., including the highly respected Douglas Fir species. They also specialize in the distinctive "Swedish Cope" (curved bottom) log style. For the "best of the west", choose Yellowstone!
3. Lincoln offers reasonably priced 8" yellow true Southern pine logs. These are "tight ring" logs, not cheap fast-growing Loblolly pine logs. Plus, Lincoln's logs are factory treated to help insure a long life. When people think log homes, they think Lincoln!
All three of these fine companies are well established in the log home business: They've been around for decades. I am fortunate to be associated with each.
As a quick aside, I remain an active volunteer in a well-respected non-profit that has been assisting Ukrainian orphans since 1995, namely Bridges of Faith Int'l. I am also now the co-founder of a new related non-profit that will actually bring the orphans here! . . . specifically to our camp property in rural Alabama. This will be a great experience for these terrific children, AND an inexpenisve way for prospective adoptive parents to bond with them in a fun atmosphere. A portion of the proceeds from every sale Legacy Log Homes, LLC makes goes to support these ministries.
Between these three companies, I offer roughly 100 different models from which you can choose! Plus, if 100 is not enough for a customer, that's no problem because over 75% of log homes are custom homes. Customers are welcome to "tweak" model homes, to have me secure a quote from one of my suppliers on another log home company's model, OR to begin with an entirely separate floorplan from an ordinary plan book. Customers can often even submit a rough plan that they sketched upon the back of a cocktail napkin!
In short, we are here to help you secure the log home of your dreams. "If you can dream it, then you can probably build it with logs!"
Thank you for visiting our site. Always please feel free to phone me. Even if you merely wish to chat about log homes, you may call toll free between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 1-888-LOG-2007. I'm not much of a salesmen, but I will be happy to tell you all I know about log homes.

At Legacy Log Homes, LLC, we can insure the arrival of an established log home assembler at your home site on the day the log package arrives. In most cases, we will also be there when your logs arrive, and we'll always confirm the arrival of your assembler as scheduled. Furthermore, the assemblers we recommend are experienced professionals who can assemble and build out both small cabins and 10,000 sq. foot log home showplaces. If you'd like a separate general contractor to oversee your entire construction project, just ask, and we'll recommend a few proven builders. One of them also assembles log homes and has built over twenty in the past 7 years. As always, however, this choice is yours.
Legacy, LLC is not a disappearing dealer. Legacy, LLC will work like a sled dog with you, your chosen log home assembler or general contractor, with my favorite log home mortgage specialist, and with my three suppliers to make the log home of your dreams come true. Legacy, LLC is in this business for the long run.
Are you considering assembling your own log perimeter walls?
I do not recommend this. There are SERIOUS RISKS associated with this option, and you should speak with me before you choose it. If, however, you are an experienced log home assembler with time on your hands, you could possibly handle your own assembly and thus maximize the savings associated with a log home.
Log home packages generally come with a set of building plans and with assembly instructions for the log perimeter walls. The choice is yours, but I recommend a skilled, experienced assembler.
Log-only packages also typically include: Specialized Countersinking Log Bolts, Log Seal, Weather Stripping, Wooden Dowel Pins. Generally speaking, log-only packages include the logs plus the items (other than tools) that are required to assemble them. Please call me with any unanswered questions. H.R.
