LEGACY LOG HOMES, LLC
"LOG HOMES MAKE SENSE!"

OUR THREE SUPPLIERS AND OUR FAVORITE LOG HOME BUILDER

                Quality Materials And A Skilled Log Home Builder Are
                                The KEYS To A Well-Built Log Home
.

I work with a skilled, established Alabama log home builder who has completed almost 25 Lincoln brand log homes (with all plumbing, electrical fixtures, and basic appliances) for a total cost of $80 to $95 per square foot, depending on customer preferences.  With many log and standard homebuilders now charging $110-$130 per sq. ft. for a comparable structure, one can have the benefits that a log home offers for less.  NOTE:  I also can refer you to a top-notch national log home builder, if my favorite Alabama log home builder has a scheduling conflict.

A former Assistant Attorney General, I did my research before allowing Legacy Log Homes to become a dealer for our three suppliers: Lincoln Logs Int’l, LLC, Ward Cedar Log Homes, and Yellowstone Log Homes, LLC.  I traveled to North Carolina, to Maine, and to Idaho to visit all three company headquarters, to meet their executives and staff, and to tour their facilities.  I am satisfied that these companies are top-notch makers of log home packages.  In fact, they arguably make some of the finest log packages in this business.  Maybe that’s why they’ve been around for decades.  They are good folks, good folks who believe in:

·        Air-drying logs the slow, natural way (Kiln drying can damage logs.);

·        Ingenuity in the design and cutting of log home packages;

·        Customer satisfaction, customer choice, and customer control of their total home construction cost.  Lincoln and Yellowstone will sell log-only packages.  Ward will sell a basic package containing a few other cedar wood items cut at their mill.  Thus, you may choose your materials at a price you can live with, and take delivery when you’re ready.  None of the three will force full log home packages on the customer, however, in practice, their prices on many items found in full packages are quite favorable.  In summary, full package or small package . . . the choice is yours.

Supplier Websites and Model Home Pictures/Floorplans

Here are the web sites for each of our three suppliers, along with a basic description of their product line:

Lincoln Logs Int’l, LLC; www.lincolnlogsinternational.com  (for reasonably priced, treated, "tight ring", true Southern pine logs) (To see their models, click “Picture Gallery” at the left of their home page.)  When people think log homes, they think Lincoln!

Ward Cedar Log Homes; www.wardcedarloghomes.com  (for Northern white cedar logs, a premium wood for premium homes) (To see their models, click "Floor plans" and “Gallery of Homes” at the top middle area of their home page.)  Ward is the first log home company and arguably has the best wood and the best assembly system in the business!

Yellowstone Log Homes, LLC; www.yellowstoneloghomes.com  (for big, beautiful, 9” to 16” Swedish Cope [curved bottom] logs from the western U.S., including the preferred Douglass Fir species) (To see their models, click “Floor plans” & “Photo Gallery” at the top of their home page.)  For the best of the west, choose Yellowstone!

Please remember, however, that model homes/floorplans mean very little.  If you seek a custom home or a floorplan from another log home company, none of us will even blink!  We can secure a log home package to fit most any home you have in mind.
